Yesterday afternoon I had some time to kill and I stopped in at the Kit Kat after a trip to Fry's Electronic store. I sat down at the bar, ordered a soda and bought some peanuts. A nice lady came and asked if I wanted a private dance which I did not. She sat down though and we talked for a few minutes during which time I gave her a couple of fivers for the company. She left to have a cigarette outside. The bar tender had given me change in dollars so when I saw a lady dancing that appealed to me I'd go to the stage and put five of them on the stage rail while she danced. Then I'd go back to the bar. After a few dancers (there were five) I ran out of dollars and only had a couple of fives and a bunch of twenties. There were two ladies I found especially attractive and in hope that one of them might spend some time with me I saved the remaining fives for them. I was hoping to get some more ones with a second drink but the bartender was spending time at the door. After one of the two ladies danced and collected the five and twenty she stopped by the bar, asked if I wanted a private dance (didn't) and then left. The room had cleared by then (end of the lunch crowd I guess) and I was the only person in the room. A dancer came on stage, who reminded me of my ex-wife, and signaled for me to come to the stage. I had no desire to give her either the five or the twenty so I declined and she mouthed that if I wasn't going to be a the stage she wasn't going to dance, and I shrugged. So she left the stage. Here's where it gets interesting. Nobody came out to dance for about four or five songs. Then she came to the bar asked the bartender (who was still not behind the bar) for something, then turned to me and called me a racist. I acknowledged she had a right to her opinion and she left. Now she even sounded like my ex-wife. Shortly the other lady I was interested in, who had come to the bar and spent time with me earlier, danced and I gave her my last five and a twenty. She made a statement that I didn't hear over the music and then left the stage without coming over to the bar. The stage sat empty for a few songs, with me sitting alone at the bar. Finally another patron came in and sat at the stage rail and a girl came out and danced. While she was dancing I dropped a twenty on the stage but I stayed at the bar. She finished her dance without looking around and left, the twenty still on the stage. I got the idea that the dancers had decided I was shit for not giving each of the girls money for dancing. So I left, with about two hundred in my pocket that would have gone to one of the two ladies if either had just sat and talked with me. Needless to say the encounter left me thinking unkind thoughts and so it's doubtful I'll be visiting the Kit Kat Klub again.
